Special FX makeup is on the rise and people are now really investing time and effort into having the best fancy dress ensembles and really who can blame them? Everyone here at Butterfly Effex loves to dress up and we take so much pride in our ability to apply the best special fx makeup here in the UK.
Special FX
Special FX makeup is mostly used around Halloween and is normally adults which is booked one on one in time slots, but it can also be applied for photoshoots and any other fancy dress event!
The process varies in how long it takes. It can consist of anything from a simple ‘wound’ which can take 15 mins to a full blown prosthetic piece which can take anything up to 60-90 minutes. We use well known products such as mehron, grimas, graftobian, ben nye, scarva , zombie skin. However, i have been hired for photography to advertise for an airsoft company: Pheonix Airsoft
The products used can range from wax, latex or grease paint. All the products used are all proven to be safe, however we will always do a patch test first.
