Terms & Conditions of Hire

  • On receipt of your completed & signed booking form you will be sent a booking confirmation.
  • Payment should be made within one week of receiving your Special Occasion Postbox booking confirmation. If payment is not received, the hire dates will be made available to other customers.
  • Payment for the hire can be made by Paypal, bank transfer or in cash. Details of which will be included with your booking confirmation.
  • We will try to accommodate preferred times for collection or delivery however this may not always be possible in which case we will contact you to discuss further. We will also re confirm these timings with you 48 hours before the first day of hire as we are aware things can change in the run up to special occasions.
  • You will be required to pay a £100 security deposit, which MUST be made prior to collection/delivery or at the time of collection/delivery. You will be given a receipt for your deposit.
  • Your £100 security deposit WILL BE returned at drop off/return aslong as it is returned in the same condition in which it was collected or delivered. This includes being returned in the same cardbox box as this box is the correct size for the postbox to ensure it protected. You will be asked to sign a receipt, confirming return of your security deposit.
  • The postbox is supplied with a key at the time of hire, if this is lost a charge of £10 will be taken from your security deposit for a replacement key, if you do lose the key please do not panic as we have a master key so will be able to retrieve your cards. Please do not try to force the lock.
  • The postbox is also supplied with its own cardboard box and bubble wrap, please ensure the box is returned in its own cardboard box. If the box is not returned a charge of £5 will be taken from your security deposit for a replacement cardboardbox.
  • If you do not return the postbox at the arranged time, or if it is not available for collection by us/courier at the pre agreed time, a further charge of £25 will be taken from your security deposit for a further 3 day hire and a further collection charge may also be taken. If after a supplementary 3 day hire the box is still not returned, charges will accrue. If you envisage any issues with the return of the Postbox, please let us know ASAP, as where possible we will help, and an extra days hire may sometimes be possible with no charge,
  • If you fail to return the postbox at all, you will lose the £100 security deposit and you will be liable for an additional charge of £200 which will be pursued through the small claims court.
  • You are required to give 1 month notice prior to the first day of your hire period, should you wish to cancel. A refund will be given if notice to cancel is received up to one month prior to your hire date less a £10 admin fee. Within 1 month will result in no refund of your hire fee. Your booking confirmation will detail the date by which you must give notice of any wish to cancel.

Below are details on how we use your information:

  • By filling in the Contact Us form on the site you are consenting to us contacting you regarding the hire of a postbox, your details will not be used for any other reason.
  • By filling in the Booking Form you are supplying us with the necessary information to hire a postbox and for use to arrange delivery and collection. Your details will only be used for this purpose and will not be shared with any other companies.
  • Once you hire is completed your details will be kept for business audit purposes however they will not be used again and once they have been kept for the minimum amount of time required they will be shredded and disposed of securely. Until then they will be kept in a locked folder.
  • All information supplied is confidential and will not be passed on to 3rd party companies and will never be sold.
